USCIS Investigates Fraudulent Practice of Immigration Law
Veronica Perdomo was investigated and convicted by the USCIS of the fraudulent practice of immigration law.
Immigrants experience many hardships as they take on a relentless journey to a new country where they soon will call home. One of these hardships includes others taking advantage of them. Recently a USCIS investigation led to a conviction for Veronica Perdomo, 43, who was found guilty of unauthorized practice of law as she impersonated an immigration lawyer. Perdomo targeted aliens who were either in the U.S. illegally or who had been here legally but having problems with their immigration status. Unfortunately, it is common that immigrants are taken advantage of by lawyers and non-lawyers.
